Hi all,

I'm hoping for so help or suggestions.

Having finally caving in to the pressure, I bought some weathered stock from graham farish.
I bought weathered cattle wagons, vans and press foo cements.

I hooked up 3 of each with a toad and put it behind my new 46 which had been run in on a rolling road.

It feels as if there's in a brick in each one as the loco crawls but if you unhook it and run it on its on the same speed setting it flys.

My non weathered stock run light as

Could it be paint making it "heavy" in the axle boxes

Thanks in advance

Can you spin the wheels easily with your fingers?

Sprintex

That would be my guess, paint in the axle-ends ;)

Try each wagon individually by hand to see if they run freely or if they are binding, may not be all of them. If it is paint sticking then not too difficult to pop the axle out and clean it all up

It may well be only one of the wagons.
I had a cattle wagonrecently that had exactly that problem. Easy to fix.
I'll get round to fixing it drekkly me 'ansome.

Thanks guys,

I was thinking/guessing it might be the cause. Is it a easy just squeeze the wheels out and wire brush the axle box thingy or is their a better way

Thanks heaps for he advice s always

Delicately Bart delicately, I usually use a matchstick the end trimmed to a point to clear the holes. Cheers john.
