Now listening to the album 'Dreamland'. Too young at 47 to be lost. RIP Robert.
I always remember when the album came out all the young guns blasted it out on car stereos that probably cost 10 times as much as their car.

Hi,
Past summer I saw them in Rome, 10th time in my life from far 1981....IMHO Bruce is always the "best"....but not his voice..
About Metallica (seen two years ago) I'm waiting for them on February 2018 in Bologna ....I like very much their last release..

Best wishes
Marco

Paul Di'Anno was Maidens singer then

Excellent pic.  I saw Maiden and Samson many times back then, at one point it seemed they were on the bill with almost every band in town!

Now playing Ian Hunter - The Artful Dogder
( I never got to see Mott The Hoople :( )

Malc

I am a Mott the Hoople fan,and never caught up with them, but do play their albums. Particularly like "at the crossroads" and their first album.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

I, too, am a fan of early Mott the Hoople (before they went 'pop' with Bowie). Love the tracks on the Island samplers like 'At the Crossroads' (Nice enough to eat), 'Thunderbuck Ram' (Bumpers) and 'Original Mxed Up Kid' (El Pea)

broadsword

I quite liked MTH, as an aside there is a woman working
in my local Greggs shop who looks like Ian Hunter,
not sure if she can sing though.

Be worth asking.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Like " Could I have a sausage roll and a couple of verses of "All the young dudes " ?

Malc

Or a pasty and a verse of "all the way to Memphis"
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

broadsword

Or a verse of  "Stone away the  roll "  as it's a bakery

terrible pun :-[

This woman is  not foxy, looks more like a cocker spaniel
that's been swimming.

Tom Waits, big time cranked up to eleven - and then some.
