Are those two off the Island Bumpers sampler ?   A great double album.
I think we've discussed that before though (a few years back).
I'll get round to fixing it drekkly me 'ansome.

Quite correct, Martin.
Mine still has the 29/11 (£1.9s.11d) sticker on the front :) :-[

It certainly contained some excellent tracks by some great bands.
Enjoy.
I can clearly remember buying my copy (was that really 45 years ago or thereabouts!!) in my local record store. I must have played it hundreds of times over the years.

On the ipod on the way to work this morning:

Iron Destiny - Kreator

And for those who like some catchy pop:

Elastic Heart - Sia

I had the Bumpers double album, plus "Nice enough to eat". There was one other Island sampler before those, but I forget the name.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Not sure there was one before 'Nice enough to eat', Malc, but there was a double album which followed 'Bumpers' called 'El Pea'
There were also other record labels samplers, such as Harvest's 'Picnic', CBS's 'Fill your head with rock' and Polydor's 'Bombers' (all double albums) and Atlantic's single album 'Age of Atlantic'

Thanks for that, I wasn't aware of you can All Join In.
I had Bumpers and Age of Atlantic (in fact I still have them).

The age of Atlantic was a superb album. It's a pity the labels don't do more of that sort of thing these days.

I bet you bought that from the old Virgin Records shop in Brum city centre ?

It was great for buying import albums in the 70s.

Best regards,

Joe
