The forum was down this morning and I thought perhaps Tank had put all the donations into his Swiss bank account and done a runner.

Must say, it did cross my mind that a pretend forum would be an excellent way (if you had the time) to relieve someone of their fiver!

Fom what i've seen, the time and effort of getting this running, to say nothing of the initial outlay, it wouldnt be worth trying this as a scam at all.

Better bet would be spamming people about viagra and selling them placebo. Oh, wait, i think that was done already.

Yep the site was down ! As for tank running off with money - my guess would be he is running from those demanding money - he can not be making money from this.

Frustrating yes, but give the guy a chance !

From the error report I was getting, uit looked like a Denial of Service attack, but I can't for the life of me think why the NGF would be attacked by a DoS. I mean, it's not as if we're really mainstream and against anything radical is it???

It was the horrible Communists. They hate model railways!!!!

As Lawrence just said (beat me to it), the server needed to be reset, but I haven't had the full report back yet. I'll keep you all posted.
