It has been reported on the Model Bus Federation website that BT Models (aka Base Toys) have ceased trading. This has been confirmed by the UK importers. John Ayrey.
The BT range was originally conceived as a modular product with a range of mix and match cabs, chassis and bodies for trucks, but also includes bespoke vehicles like crewbuses and vans on the BMC FG chassis, articulated and drawbar trailers, double deck buses and coaches.
The availability of stocks at the importers is unknown at the moment.
Not good news, but thanks for being the bearer.
Thats a shame they did a nice range of N gauge lorries.

A great shame as they did a nice alternative set of vehicles compared with Oxford .
Very sorry to hear that :(
I have 7 of their lorries.
They were better than Oxford Diecast in some respects, and helped up Oxford's game a little, IMHO.
Were they not the first to include wing mirrors on lorries?
Bob
An email from Hattons this morning shows they still have stocks of some Base Toys models :
"Back In Stock since 18 October 2017
Base Toys
Commercial vehicles
N012 Leyland FG Flatbed "British Rail" £5
N033 Karrier Bantam dropside 'RAF' (circa 1956-1966) £5
N035 Leyland Beaver low loader 'A&E Morris' (circa 1959-1969) £5.50
N037 AEC Matador flatbed and trailer Pickford £8 "
They may have others but I have not checked the website.
14 buses and 43 vans in different guises on their website. some listed as available to pre-order!
Regrettably I have bought all I want, and have one spare Leyland FG Sunblest Bakery van which I will wait until it is worth £30 before selling :D
Not as bad as it first sounds...
I have in recent weeks been talking to the M.D. of the company that imports Base Toys, regarding any planned releases. On reading the forum quite early today I emailed him re' Base Toys cease trading. He kindly responded.
It seems that the person who they imported from has had some financial difficulties and has ceased trading. The B.T. models name wil now cease. However, they are now dealing with the manufacturing factory direct and awaiting delivery of 4mm stock ordered since B.T. ceased trading. I assume that this has been brewing for a while and contingency plans were made.
So, not as bad as it first seems, so hopefully we will still be able to buy this range of 2mm vehicles.
I hope they do continue. They make some very nice vehicles.

Probably the very best of what's on my layout.
Alec.
