After living without a dishwasher for 2 years we finally got one installed on Tuesday.

Great news for Mrs Cassidy !

I have one come in once a week, she also does laundry, changes the sheets and runs the vacuum cleaner round the flat, plus any other odd jobs that I miss.
Cheers MIKE

Grrr. Don't mention dishwashers. I've just had to empty ours and wash everything by hand, while waiting for parts to arrive tomorrow, so that I can fix it. It holds 14 place settings and was absolutely full.

You only have your crockery/cutlery etc washed once a week?? :o :sick2:

Well when I lived by meself, I only had one fork, knife and spoon.... no problem unless you're expecting a party!

That never happened during my separation years, by the way  :)

I used to think "loading the dishwasher" was giving SWMBO another glass of wine...

Sometimes when I pick Louisa up from work, she will ask me what I have been doing all day. I quite often reply, "Well, I have done the washing up", to which she replies, "Will the machine have finished when we get back?".

One of these days I will feel appreciated.  :)

One task I have always hated is washing the dishes. When I bought my house, I bought a second-hand dishwasher a few weeks BEFORE completion.
