My ride of the day goes to Team Katusha Alpecin. By heck, that one came from leftfield :o

My ride of the day was wearing an orange jersey but she wasn't on a bike

To follow the construction of my layout "Longcroft" from day 1, you'll have to catch the fish below first by clicking on it which isn't difficult right now as it's frozen!

Can someone help me out....?

I am trying to find where the various points and time bonuses are, and how many, for sprints and KoM/hills

I have definitely  :searchingsign: the official TdF site and other sites like cycling weekly, and I can't find anywhere where they are set out.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Cheers Jon  :)

I couldn't find it by navigating the official site, but google found:
https://www.letour.fr/en/the-race/sporting-stakes
with a link to the full rules:
https://netstorage.lequipe.fr/ASO/cycling_tdf/rules-reglement-tour-de-france-2019.pdf
That should have everything in great detail!

Thanks Neil, I'll take a look.

I am really surprised it isn't set out more clearly on the website for each stage.  It's like watching a rugby match and not knowing ahead of the game how many points for a try etc.!!

Cheers Jon  :)

Well, that 3 weeks flew by. Congratulations to Egan Bernal, Peter Sagan and Romain Bardet. One of the best and most exciting Tours for many a year.
A special mention to Julian Alaphilippe who wore the Maillot Jaune for 14 days and gave France hope of a first win in 34 but was finally defeated by the Alps.

RailGooner

Friday was a farce though. Alaphilippe was deafeted by the weather and Prudhomme's fear of the peloton's reaction to facing such severe wintry weather following their angry reaction to riding in severe hot weather.

They say the Maillot Jaune gives one extra power. I observe that nearly all who lose it suffer a dip the following day. If Alaphilippe had finished Friday in yellow, I'm convinced he'd still be in yellow for tomorrow's GC parade.

Congratulation to Bernal, especially when he was never intended to ride Le Tour. But as MBH quickly joked "when a luxury holiday to France has 60% off..." :D

The general consensus though was if they had been able to carry on, Alaphilippe may have gained a little time on the descent but lost even more to Bernal on the final climb. Maybe they should have found a way of restarting the stage after the hailstorm and landslide though.

They had to make that call yesterday IMO, and it benefited Alaphillipe (or rather avoided others from inflicting further damage).

Great ride from Bernal, and a brilliant race!

The 'authorities' have many times been accused of ignoring rider safety and I think they reacted quickly and in the fairest way possible avoiding potential accidents.
With a metre thickness of mudslide across the route I guess time was against formulating a 'Plan B'.
There always seems to be something happen in  the TdF, even if it's a zealous gendarme pepper spraying several of the peloton!

Bealman

I was having a beer at the Figtree Bowlo, as one is wont to do, and just happened to glance up at one of the the tellies, and saw that mudslide business!

I'd agree with Mick, there was nowt much else they could do at that point.
