The results of the 2015 Photographic Competition

Comments from Steve Filnt below each image

Real Railways

Winner - Agrippa
Comment - dramatic, imposing and well composed/cropped

Highly commended
Chris - good clear image but maybe could benefit from a bit more canvas top and bottom

MKP - classic framed composition, ideal magazine cover material as banner title and contents text would fit top and bottom.

Model Railways

Winner - SD35
Comment - Good dramatic pose which looks very realistic

Highly commended
c6250 - Imaginative use of lighting

SD35

Big thanks to the organisers and what a coup getting Steve Flint involved.

The standards were incredibly high and it's nice to see other people's ideas for inspiration.

My own entry was a happy circumstance as I'd just broken the layout up for moving otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get the angle.

I really liked Zwilnik's shot of the tank engine with the main line in the background.  It was well thought out.

MKP

thank you to Steve Flint for his kind comments, I think Steve may have been swayed by L&B subject of my picture,

and ps you can have it as a cover if you want

Mustermark

Congrats to the winners and the commended entries. Some lovely photos.
