After many years absence I notice it's finally back

I wonder if it is the same as the original castings. I have one of these but the body was far, far too narrow to fit the recommended chassis. Even after a lot of work, it had a terrible trapezoid shape with a gap at the bottom.

Then again, it was my first N gauge kit. Has anyone managed to get a 18000 to fit an SD45 chassis?
