When the NGS changed the buffer size in one of their kits to 3mm diameter I went off to another supplier and bought a quantity of 3.45mm ones.  That was to ensure that any newly built kits would be similar to my old ones.

I've learnt to buy all the parts required to finish kits when I buy them as I've been caught out in the past.
