Hi,

I've just downloaded and printed the latest Scalescenes building, the industrial unit with crane, and I'm looking at using it, extended, as my Inverknockie carriage shed, [late 80's-early 90's]

what I don't know is what the inside of such a shed is like, so I'm hoping someone can guide me to some sources of info and pics.

the sort of things I need are :

are the rails just inset into a flat concrete floor, or are there inspection pits set in for the running gear to be serviced while the coaches are cleaned ?

are there 'platforms' between the rails to give cleaners etc level access to the coaches, or would they climb up into them ?

would emptying the toilets and refilling the water tanks take place in the shed, or outside somewhere ?

in other words, I know sod all about this subject

thanks in advance for any help you can give

cheers

alan

Hi Owl,

many thanks for that. just what I was after, and it looks as though the track would be inset [possibly redoing the track at the centre, with raised platforms for cleaners etc

Try a Google search for carriage sidings and then click the image tag.
