How To Add Pdf To Post

As per the title. I have been searching and trying a couple of ideas, but can not get a pdf to add to a post. Can it be done?

When posting, below the box for entering text is " - Attachments and other options " followed by a small box with "Browse" click that and select your file

Allowed file types: pdf, jpg, png, jpeg
Restrictions: 2 per post, maximum individual size 3072000KB

I tried that Mike, but when I click on 'Preview', the attachment is not showing - does it only show once the post has been 'posted'?

I suspect it doesn't show in 'Preview' as it's not actually part of the post but an attachment.
I've never had any issues using the method Mike suggests.
