That's a big bus!
960m in length, dictated by these sidings outside of Coober Pedy, as the train waits there for the day whilst you do the tours. Normally there would be 2 of the red Ghan loco's on the front, but they had a couple break down a couple of weeks earlier and they have not been returned yet.

Hope all in the UK and Europe are enjoying the warm weather. Here's Bealman's bus stop last night.... wet and bloody cold!

What's the temperature there please?

Bealman

Right now (11am Wed) it's about 12 Celsius. Last night at the bus stop it was 5, and the wet didn't help.

38 degrees Tuesday 3pm. 2am 19 degrees. Just up for cold water. Absolutely don't like the heat

Bealman

I'm not keen on it either, but unfortunately I'm living in the wrong place to expect otherwise in our summer!  ;D

One of my cousins has been across here for a month.. They are somewhere in the air at the moment.. on the way back to Adelaide to cool down..

 :laughabovepost:

Mind you, Adelaide can get pretty damn hot in summertime.

The sandstone volcano (as railsquid dubbed it) covered by cloud the other day. Viewed, of course, from the bowlo.... funny, that.

at least the greens aren't flooded today, so things must be looking up.
