I have bought a Peco Open Bolster wagon kit KNR-4 just to see what it was like. There is no obvious position for the two bolsters nor means of fixing them :(
Glue will no doubt solve the latter but should there be a BR /LMS /LNER etc. standard position for the bolsters and the stays /stanchions ? Like 1/4 way in from the wagon ends ?

I am trying googling for anyone who has built this sort of thing but all I am getting is millions of shops selling the kit !
I cant think of a way of excluding commercial sites from the google :(

EDIT PS in the grand scheme of things it isnt vital ! and Rule1 applies if I make any subsequent ones all the same,
but curiosity , you know , :) !

I have checked my book "BR Standard Freight Wagons" by Dave Larkin and found no answers, but from the pictures it would seem the bolsters are fixed at equal distances along the body.
I hope this makes sense.
Good luck.
Greg.

PS - try the website paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/bolsters
If it's not a Diesel Hydraulic then it's not a real locomotive.

Thank you, great find, what a huge site !
I got a "page not found" on that particular link, but putting  bolster  into the search box soon sorted that.
