Has anyone used this product and is it difficult to fit.mike

I'd recommend that you arrange to take it back to Apple and get a recondition replacement.   Check on their website first of course but my recollection was that the cost to you is about £200.00 and, in effect, you're getting a new iPad with a guarantee.
