Title: Mark Cavendish to take an indefinite break from competition

Mark Cavendish has announced he is to take an indefinite break from the sport after being diagnosed with the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). :(

Re-diagnosed, he had it last April too. Still, gives him some closure as to his poor performances this year. Not great timing from a career point of view.

Let's hope he can come back strong for at least one last Hurrah(!).

Agreed, would be great to see him back sprinting with the 'young guns'!

Poor Cav. Shocking that maybe 95% of the population have the disease :o
I'll never forget him and Bradley Wiggins winning the Madison in London 2016
