Title: First generation DMU driving trailers
Post by: 1018509 on November 06, 2013, 01:08:57 PM
Has anyone ever seen or made a model driving trailer as built when the class 121/122's were built?

I've only seen 4mm versions made from Lima class 117.  The front passenger saloon is the same as the single power car, but the rear part was made from the Lima trailer (centre) coach. I suppose you could make one from two power car bodies but you would need the correct configuration of large and small windows.

The class 121/122 body side had an identical window layout to the class 116, 117 & 118 driving motor second.

Hi , Much same thoughts - bought a couple of dummies at Dapol openday  but not yet started cutting plastic, intend to use BHE cast end for non corriodor part.
As Dodger says it is a bit of a cut and shunt.
