I have decided that I have too many items of rolling stock in my collection, at the last count nearly 600 items :o (I know, I know ;)), which is far too many to get any real use out of. I am mostly going to dispose of British stuff, mainly GF/Dapol/Peco, which will include some locomotives, some carriages but mainly goods wagons. I will be putting the items in the 'For Sale' section over the next few weeks prior to listing them on eBay, so that members get first choice. The majority of the pieces are brand new or 'as new'. As there is quite a bit of stock to list, I thought that, if any member is wanting a particular piece, that member could PM me to see if I have it available. Prices will be good! Failing that, I will compile some lists of just what is available that I can email to members, but the lists will possibly not be available until the weekend. Please PM me if you want any more information. Thanks.
I have done this post after liaising with Tank. (I hope this is what you had in mind @Tank (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=2) ).
Cheers for the heads up, I will keep my beady eyes on the for sale section 8)
PM sent, David :)

Thanks for the replies and PM's. I think I have replied to everybody who sent a PM. If you have not had a reply, :-[ , sorry, (I blame my Secretary, you can't get the staff these days - maybe they are all working from home :)).
I am just playing it cool waiting for the topic in the for sale section, although this is mainly as I don't know what you have as rolling stock to sell ;D
I will get the list done as soon as I can, although it may be the weekend as I have a new lawn mower and a new locomotive to play with test and send a copy of the list to everyone who has shown an interest. I will also put the stock in the 'For Sale' section, but this will be a few items at a time. Thanks to all who have contacted me.
@gavin_t (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=7707) - you have been added to the list.

Hi
Fun fact. He used to live in the same village as me but not sure if that's still the case as I haven't seen him for a couple of years.
Cheers
Paul
I put a post in the 'Angry Thread' on 1st May about the lawn mower I had ordered. Anyways, it arrived yesterday afternoon. I got it all connected up - did not have much choice, the box would not fit through the door! So this morning, in goes the oil and petrol and I pressed the button - it is electric start. Boy oh boy, what a mower . It normally takes me about 4 or 5 hours, (allowing for coffee/cigarette/email breaks), to get the front lawn* cut. Today it took me about two and a half hours and that included 3 breaks. :o. What a lovely machine, as I said, electric start, self moving, (I have to run to keep up with it - okay, a slight exaggeration ;)). It even has two cup holders (!) although I think I would spill more lager than I could drink.
*For lawn, read, tamed area of grass in middle of field.
You're still being vague (illusive?) about what sort of mower it is.
???
It's a ... erm .... petrol lawn mower.
I know - easy answer -

Holy cow!
If it had any more levers it'd be a signalbox!
I said to put a list on here with description, photo's and prices....! :hmmm: You're going to be overwhelmed with PM's now! :D
Hi David,
Im very interested in the list too, stock is something I'm very short of - embarrassingly so :-[
Cheers Derek
Yeah I don't know whether I'm interested or not! Get a list up ;)

Oops! :-[ As regards PM's, my whelm is well and truly overed. :) . Do you want me to still list as you suggest @Tank (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=2), I am just thinking that I may well be disposing of 100+ items - would it better to do a few smaller lists and if so, how many per list would you suggest, bearing in mind each item would be accompanied by a photograph? I would hate to break something on the forum! ;)
In my last gargantuan sale end of last year I grouped things into ads with one pic of them all e.g. MK1 coaches, LMS wagons, LNER wagons etc and when anything was bought from that ad I just edited the list, opened the photo with 'Paint', marked the item as SOLD and then replaced the original pic with the new one. If there's anything I can help you with just let me know
I imagine most people PMing you know the sort of thing you're selling, but I genuinely would at least give that guidance. I've no idea if you model British, Continental or Uzbekistani.
Just saying "I've got loads of stuff to sell" is likely to engender people saying "have you got x, y or z?".
If you list items individually then you'll be there for months. I remember NN's lists as that worked well.
If people want photos they can ask for them, again, I'd personally not upload photos of 100 items individually, but perhaps a single photo of the items in that grouped listing. The coaches. The locos. Whatever it might be.
I'm interested but, without knowing what you have to sell, I don't see any point in asking if you have "X" or "Y".
Lists will help please/
All comments taken on board - thank you. I will have a re-think about how I am going to do this.
@Newportnobby (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=264) Thanks for that. I seem to recall that I bought a couple of wagons from you at the time. I will try and find the posts and have a look.
I think I can possibly solve all your problems David. :hmmm: No laborious list creating. No need to take and upload hundreds of photographs from all angles. No seemingly endless series of questions, questions, questions from potential punters who only let you down in the end.
€62.50 for the lot, including postage.
Obviously I'm taking a huge risk, sight unseen, but it's a once in a lifetime, never to be repeated and very generous offer that I'm sure you'll find hard to pass up.
Please reply to: Messers Wright, Chancer and Theeves, The Larceny, Dartmoor, England.
:D >:D :D
Can you at least give us an idea of if these items are British, Continental or Uzbekistani?!
I keep checking this thread, as I like a good job lot, but it's pretty pointless if I'm not interested! Obviously I'm really hoping for pre-war Uzbekistani.
I think, from your general forum responses, it's steam era British stuff...?
Hmm...
...blind auction eh...
...okay,...
...€62.75...
...and that's my final...
...ish offer.

As an example I listed all the Gresley Teaks together as one ad with one pic which I then altered every time one/some of them were sold. Sample pic attached. (there are none left BTW)

Not sure I like that wallpaper Mick, it's a bit 70's isn't it? :smiley-laughing:
Firstly, I must apologise to those of you who sent me a PM re the sale of my rolling stock. I was rather surprised at the amount of interest shown and did get some specific requests and I have, (hopefully), answered them all. To try and make things easier, I will be putting various lists in the N'porium. The first list, of non UK rolling stock, should be posted this afternoon. Other lists will include UK freight, UK carriages, locomotives, miscellaneous items and maybe some sets.
Postage will be at cost and to give you an idea, a 250g packet to the UK is €6.50 which equates to about £5.75p and to the rest of the world it is €8.00. However, some mail is not being accepted for International delivery at the moment. For each item I do sell via the forum, I will donate some monies to the Forum funds and some to cancer research.
Again, my apologies to those of you who have personally contacted me. :beers:
A new, short list of UK carriages has been placed in the N'Porium - further carriages will be added later. Also, the lists for UK and non UK freight will be added to tomorrow.
The list of UK carriages was posted last night. Due to a phinno finanim phinomm large response, most, if not all of the carriages are now sold. I received quite a few PM's and, to make it easier for me, I will deal with them in the order in which they were received. I realise that this could put some of you at a disadvantage, but, to try and make this a bit more 'balanced', I will publish another list of UK carriages and try and time it for tomorrow morning, some of the carriages on the new list will be duplicates of ones on the first list. I will update this thread as soon as the new list is submitted to the Mods for approval. To those of you who have sent me a PM, I will reply during the course of this morning. Thank you all for your interest.
Who's gonna be a busy boy then.
;D
You mean who is a busy boy then. :uneasy: (I hope I have replied to all the PM's!). Just got to make up one or two packets now and create another list. :help: (Glad it is raining here - no work in the garden today).

Is this what they classify as a 'first world problem'?
;D
A new list of non UK freight wagons has been posted and I have another list of UK carriages ready to post tomorrow morning.
A second list of UK carriages will be added to the N'Porium as soon as approved by the Mods.
Another list of UK Freight wagons will be posted once approved by the Mods. The list includes 7 plank open wagons, brake vans, GW, Ford and private owner wagons. Someboby was interested in GW wagons, but with apologies, I did not make, (or have lost), a note of the members name.
Approved 10 minutes ago ;)
Subject to approval of the Mods, another list of rolling stock for sale will be published later. This will be the last list of sale items for a while. The list is mainly of freight wagons, but there are a couple of carriages as well as a couple of unusual items.
That's been a pretty eclectic mix of items for sale.
I thought I was bad modelling the same regional area over three (or four if you count BR blue pre tops) eras, but your sales go from Era 3 to Era 8/9.
What are you going to be focussing on now, post sales?
Bob
Ad approved :D
Sadly nothing for me in the lots being sold - either before or after my transition era.
@dannyboy (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=4209) All this to fund the new lawnmower or have you a cunning plan in mind to sneak something past Louisa? ;)

I am hoping that by the time lock down restrictions have been lifted enough for us to take a trip to Enniskillen in the North, Louisa will have forgotten all about these lists. :smiley-laughing: :-X

I wish people would stop asking questions for which there is no discernible answer. ;D . Actually Bob, I really like my Kato stock, which is mainly USA or Japan, so ................. :hmmm:
PM sent....and I was the one interested in pre-WW2 GWR stuff... ;)
@Doc Pye (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=7313)
Hi Rob, I have just sent you a reply to your PM. I will have a look to see if I have any GWR items and let you know - along with the results for your query. :beers:
Received 6 items from @dannyboy (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=4209) today and I'm very pleased with them. Thanks mate
