I have just acquired a couple of sets of the KMRC clayhood.... No pictures taken yet though.
But on first inspection, they really are very good models indeed :)

These are lovely models, I've got quite a few sets of them.

I have a few maroon ones and lots of green ones but the only blue one is the prototype Deltic :D
Still hoping to get a desert sand one before I kick the bucket but too much depends on Dapol :worried:

Just trying to cheer myself up before going into hospital tomorrow for a gall bladder op, so what better way then to spend some money on some trains
First

Bought form this very fine site right here

They I went to the train  shop in Leamington Spa yesterday.  Last time I visited they had some items still at old prices which of course I did not buy then.  Now they have all gone of course and prices are good but not bargain's

However I did pick up a steel worker set for £93 which I thought was pretty good and shall sell off the track and controller

Then I could not resist this little engine

It is a Poole one and I don't know if I can chip it up but I could not resist

Ask for your gall stones and use them as boulders on the layout??

I picked a Crimson and Cream K41 via eBay for a fair bit less than the new price. I don't think that it had even been out of the box. Not sure if I will keep it as is or if a little repainting will be done to remove the branding.

Go to be honest however, I'm far more excited about the Manor that will hopefully be turning up in a the next day or so, that was a real steal!

Looks like you've got one of the very rare Australasian version there, Kris...  :)

Yep, its a very special one! Given the repeated errors that I had trying to get it uploaded, Im not going to bother modifying it.

Just ordered the Farish Cumbrian mountain train pack from eHattons £131.71.
Duchess of Hamilton plus 3 recent blue/grey Mk1 coaches and a signal box.
Thats gotta be nearly half price or am I missing something here?
:beers:

I got a City of London for my birthday and kicked myself for a month straight for not asking for the Cumbrian Mtn Train Pack, as it was 5£ more for three coaches plus a signal box! The only better deal is the Midland pack (Landship Train Pack I think) that comes with a 4F and three military wagons for less than the cost of a BR or LMS liveried 4F!

Well I managed to get this lost for £5, bargain or what  ??? They have all had a quick repaint and a bit of weathering, just need to add lettering and numbering, but they will fit in well with the parcels train.

I know the horseboxes are not really suitable for the LMS, but its my railway.

Kris

Well it's not n gauge, but it was a bit of a steal. Lots of work to be done to get this to a sensible model, but it should be lovely once it's done.
