{...] I always find the gentle but firm and persistent approach to such matters works best.

How true, how very true!  Politeness tends to win in the end.  I'm so glad it has worked out well.

Best wishes

The Table-Top Railway is an attempt to create, in British 'N' gauge,  a 'semi-scenic' railway in the old-fashioned style, reminiscent of the layouts of the 1930s to the 1950s.

All sounds good, Mike.
I look forward to pics of the new 'anti Yodel' fence :)

Just for you - and new fence lovers everywhere - the finished fence. All that's left to do is fit some reflectors on the corner to give delivery drivers something to aim at.

I am considering installing a searchlight and machine gun platform atop the corner post, but apparently getting planning permission might be an issue. :hmmm:

And if anyone you know is looking to replace an old fence, get them to order something to be delivered by Yodel (other delivery agents are available but may not be suitable). ;)

Cool. The fence looks great. Love the bit about putting the shiny reflectors on the corner so the delivery driver has something to aim at  ;D

I can explain it to you...

...but I can't understand it for you.

SWMBO had her second 3 monthly check yesterday, this time an x-ray rather than the expected CT scan, followed by a face to face with one of the doctors on the team.

again no sign of any recurrence or new items of concern.

next should be another CT scan in 3 months time, followed 3 months later by an x-ray and face to face again.

a real early christmas present, couldn't ask for a better one.

Great news :claphappy:
I don't know who this 'Fillip' is they refer to but that's gotta be him ;)

Very pleased to hear that Alan and as you say, a nice early Christmas present.
David.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

Good news ready for Christmas. Excellent.

daffy

Great news Alan   though you do realise that this means you are now duty bound to grant whatever wishes she may have, and supply all manner of good surprises and presents, especially, but not only, at Christmas. :D

:beers:
