Tom@Crewe

The last few days when I open my browser instead of the standard Google I am getting two windows open one My Search Dial and the other Delta search.

I had read about a program which makes your smart phone a wi-fi webcam and down loaded the program 'Droidcam' this is where it all started I think and this is all with my firewall active and my anti virus working.

I have done the - Control panal - uninstall a program - but all 3 don't appear on the list.

On line help seems to advise downloading another malware program which I am now unsure of (after the horses bolted type thing).

Help please  :help:

A program I have used to good effect in the past is Malwarebytes.  http://www.malwarebytes.org/

It's a free programe.
Whenever I write a letter to someone, I add a footnote briefly explaining Ohm's law. It's my P.S. de resistance.

Thanks Trev. the Malwarebytes found 3 items but unfortunately they were 3 others not Delta or My search or Droidcam.

You'll probably find it as an extension in your browser settings...

Hi Tom

have a read of these...
http://www.rescuemybrowser.com/remove-mysearchdial-com-virus
http://www.anvisoft.com/resources/how-to-remove-start-mysearchdial-com-redirect/

plenty more good reading by googling the relevant words.

Another good program to try (after you have tried malwarebytes) is called hijack this.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/hjt/

But be very careful as it allows you to remove anything including things that are supposed to be there!

Repairs - not everything has to be sent away - you can fix most thing's yourself. Ask and help will be provided.

Waiting for the RTR version? - why not try a kit?

My layout, Bridgebury Gate now has its own website...

and the 3DR shop where you'll also find the NGF MPV, assorted cabs etc...

These things may just be IE toolbars and hence you can disable them in the tools menu in IE. I can't tell you exactly how to disable them as I am using Safari and my memory ain't what it used to be.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Tom@Crewe

Done it, back to normal not sure if its still on computer but I have stopped it opening when starting Chrome.

Its in Settings - On Start up - Open a specific page or pages - Set Pages........then delete the offending pages/malware

Phew  :thankyousign:

Another good freebie program is SuperAntiSpyware
It's well worth running SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes one after the other, what one misses, the other will get.

Hi Fella

Have look at Seek & Destroy Spybot2 www.safer-networking.org/‎

Its a Freebie. I have been using it for years and it has always been reliable in stopping  these type of malwares (browser toolbars etc)
Easy to set up and  runs without taking up huge resources.

I have been using the same one for years as well and it works, it sits in the background doing its thing

cheers John.

Mr Sprue

I think this one is the "Daddy" of them all for badly infected pc's, I've brought a few back to life using this program.
