In theory for unscrewing the hexagonal bolts holding on the coupling rods, but on mine the heads were too small (or the tool was slightly too big!) so a pair of small pliers worked instead (if you ever need to)

Be careful to lubricate very very very sparingly...

Planning to re-livery the 150 either London Midland or FGW at some point and remove the rapidos from the front and replace with the snow plough/dummy coupling.

Both seem good runners and are in good condition. Just need my XC 170 to turn up tomorrow and I'll be delighted.
