Thanks @Malc. Looks ideal - I will have a proper look later.
David.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.
If a friend seems distant, catch up with them.

Thanks, Malc. Let's see what the rules for the new gallery are first.

Bealman

Yeah, thanks, Malc! I can probably use that too, but like Mick, I'll wait and see what happens with the revamped gallery.  :beers:
Vision over visibility. Bono, U2.

Thanks @Malc.

I've installed it as it looks quite handy.

By habit I have always used Paint to adjust meddle with my photos and that has a quick and easy Resize option.

As mentioned elsewhere, I default anything to be posted here or emailed to a max dimension of c800 pixels which usually produces a decent quality image for online viewing.

About 18 months ago I ralised I was running out of gallery space, so I switched my pictures to my personal website instead.  Funnily enough, I have tried to check my gallery space usage today, but I can't see it any more, presumably since the server switch.  It would be nice to go back to using the gallery, but I don't want to fill it up.  I've now found the space and I've less than 30% left free.
With kind regards

I have a small problem with the new forum, specifically with the Layout Construction board.  Every time Chris in Prague posts to a thread other than his own, his own thread, Cant Cove (and Penmayne), becomes marked as new again in my browser (Firefox), even though it hasn't been updated.  I've not detectd this with any one else's thread (so far).  Is this a problem with my settings?
With kind regards

As of this morning, the problem has gone away.  I don't know if anyone has done anything.

The whole thing is rather pedestrian this afternoon

Seems good to me at the moment.

We're still trying to get the files moved for the new (and unseen!) media gallery.

Snowwolflair

There are occasional timeouts, probably due to the limit of processor power and big file move taking place.

I'd just assumed that one of the Mods had made himself a Horlicks instead of coffee and nodded off on his keyboard.

Soundslike Dougal on Father Ted when Ted is testing the Christmas tree lights "they're working Ted, hang on  - they've gone out, no-they're on again, wait-they've gone out again........."
