Apart from the lack of gloves, safety glasses and well, everything really, it was fine. As long as they have a large first aid kit, a nurse on hand and an ambulance outside then they will be ok. The guy at the end seemed to have a few makeshift plasters on his fingers as protection though so maybe he's also the H&S rep

The chap deburring the bolt holes? I spotted the plaster and did wonder if he'd got his thumb even more too close to the drill

I was in a railway wagon building shop in Calcutta in 1997 and witnessed an interesting welding exercise. 30 men held the metal side more or less vertical along the solebar "steadied" by a chain hanging from a mobile crane. There was a flimsy earth wire attached to the solebar. Luckily there was a queue of 300 men waiting outside for work in case of any casulaties.

It'd  be interesting to see how well balanced they are with the four D-shaped holes positioned by eye. There didn't appear to be any jig to ensure they're evenly spaced.

I was going to say something similar. That video is an illustration of why things made in this country cost more, because amongst many other factors the safety and wellbeing of the workforce is a primary consideration which costs money.
