Seriously though John, that looks pretty darned good.

Thanks

We have a lot of tractors around here and I believe a group of them are called either a beam or a rumble of tractors.

The Devizes YFC tractor and tinsel run is an event not to be missed! The action starts around 1 minute into this video:

To follow the construction of my layout "Longcroft" from day 1, you'll have to catch the fish below first by clicking on it which isn't difficult right now as it's frozen!

@Trainfish
"A few more tractors added to the rake. I think 33 should do. For now."

Nice vid

Good choice of loco for a rake full of tractors, so that's 34 tractors on the full train then  ;)  :D
Today's Experts were yesterday's Beginners :)

I'm glad somebody noticed it. Maybe next time it could be 35 with a double header.

I am ashamed to say I didn't notice that. I plead distraction by the 59 going the other way!

Very impressive!

However, the mischievous brat in me would have included one red tractor, just to irritate people...

Or one facing the other way.

Be careful @Trainfish, a Deere John note if you keep spending all your money on tractors.

Apolologies if done the rounds, I'll get me coat and am off to New Holland.

Lovely train  :beers:

Foxhound

I've been after a green 31 with SYP for a while, my Hymek needs a rebuild, and if I could find D817 Foxhound I would be very happy.
Et voila, Footplate of Kidderminster come up with these beauties...

All good runners, although the Hymek was a little hesitant at first. I now need to add some SR headcodes to that one....

I must stop being so sentimental. I see an item on eBay with a couple of hours to go and no bids and I start to feel sorry for it, so sometimes I put a bid in. Usually it works out; I've picked up a few useful items for 99p that way, but I won't mention the chassis with the completely burnt out motor... So when I saw this sad little chap unwanted at £20, before I could stop myself I had hit 'bid'.  ::)

When you have all stopped laughing, I would point out that it runs sweet as a nut. All it needs is a dunk in brake fluid to get rid of that paint job, respray and slap some new numbers on, plus a few cosmetic enhancements like couplings, and bingo, another bomb-proof loco for the grandbabies to use. £20 well spent in my view.

Cheers,

Chris

Now I know its a terrible runner and ancient, but I couldn't pass this up for next to nothing (CDN $20) at our local show in Victoria, BC .. Its in pristine condition and apparently running (I'm going to test it as soon as I put together a test track, Aberffilli is currently undergoing improvements.

It was a good show, only a few layouts but most were N, lots of sales stands (for here, this isn't TINGS!) but there was a lot of N scale.  Bought a bunch of non UK stuff too but I guess getting 10 perfect 2nd hand electrofrog points for $50 was also a steal!
