Not that one in the picture, Graham. Hard plastic seats. Probably the most uncomfortable train I've ever been on!

I must admit it has been almost 10yrs since I was in Sydney every week for work. So my memory must be through rose coloured glasses.

It's a pointless exercise responding to the question at the bottom, because the council will do nothing, zilch. Or worse still, stuff things up even more than they are.

Sorry to sound cynical, but I'm just stating a fact. :(

Train Waiting

'Community' and 'Strategic' are on my list of important words.  Seeing them is a positive indication that the text will be gibberish.  Seeing them together is suggestive that it will be utter gibberish.

I once worked with a half-wit who punctuated his feeble utterances with this type of drivel.  As a wheeze, I asked if he had seen the strategy staircase for a project.  Sure enough, at a long a and tedious meeting a couple of days later, he used the phrase.  Apart from one oleaginous sycophant, everyone attending knew he was a useless idiot and the episode was the subject of much mirth afterwards.

I suggest you and a few chaps down the bowlo get together, with ample VB in attendance, and compose a jargon-rich, community-led, consultation response.  And then watch the recipients make a fool of themselves.

With all good wishes.

The Table-Top Railway is an attempt to create, in British 'N' gauge,  a 'semi-scenic' railway in the old-fashioned style, reminiscent of the layouts of the 1930s to the 1950s.

Back in 1997 you could download "Dilbert's Desktop Games" in which was a built-in Jargonator where you could input a phrase and have it spit back the revised phrase full of "management speak".

Now why does AI come to mind...

sounds just like our local council, going to ban nuclear, solve world peace, and make a treaty with the local aboriginal tribe. Of course they are actually there to look after roads and rubbish but that seems to take a back seat to the more important things they have no influence over.

Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun.

Well, not exactly, but close. I started painting the driveway at 8.30am this morning and finished at 12.30.

All the recent talk about the weather by @Graham @Train Waiting and others reminded Bealman that the temperature for the duration of the job hovered around 34° - not quite Graham's nasty Melbourne thing, but quite warm enough when painting, thank you.

Anyway, one hot, sweaty and stinky Bealman later (Mrs B reckoned I stunk - I told her it was the paint), the result by 12.30 wasn't too bad, I reckon. :beers:
