Time to depart, the despatched saw no one getting on, so have the too, guard closed the doors, and off we went,

I hate the iPhone sometimes...

The despatcher gave the tip, the guard closed the doors and off we went.....

Cheers, Timmo

It even changes words when you're insulting it!!! It must know and have feelings!

With 8 train between 18.04 and 19:00 and a 9-15 minute journey I cannot think why they should even be running , unless it's the driver

TBR

Especially when its a minute to departure. I work as a guard for Kiwirail in New Zealand and I'll yell for the passengers to get in the next door. If they don't after the second call well.... its only 20 min till the next one

I really did witness a passenger at Lewisham asking why the more empty coaches at the rear were not put on the front of the London train  ??? ???

This has reminded me of one of my 90 year old mother's stories.

When travelling by train to Addlestone where she lived the station announcer would say everyday something like "this is the 7.55 to Walton on Thames, Weybridge, Byfleet and Alton on behind".   Some of the kids thought that Alton on Behind was a place.

I'm glad I work from home having experience London rush hour a few times.

A friend used to travel with a samsonite briefcase with a big radiation sticker on it, and lab sticky tape. Was one way to get a bit of room.
