I can't remember seeing a thread on Tanktainers. Nothing to do with @Tank but the 20ft container sized tanks.
Having being inspired by the Revolution trains/c rail high cubes I thought it prudent to dig out my tank kits. I built one about 7 years ago but never got round to finishing it off.

Still needs weathering and dulling down.

For those that don't know BulkHaul is a Middlesbrough based company owned by Steve Gibson, The Chairman of Middlesbrough Football Club. This tank isn't in their usual colour scheme which is mustard yellow and blue. Kind of the reverse of the tank pictured.
I have built a couple more to go alongside the Highcubes and 30 foot interbulk containers.
Enjoy.

Cheers

Nice one Jon. Really good that.
Didn't know there was a BHE kit. I'll have to check it out but I'm afraid I'm one of those people who hadn't had much success from buying stuff from BHE.

I think I started the thread on my phone whilst Mrs K was driving me and the kids to visit my parents. The kids were going nutty in the back of the car. Multi tasking is not my forte clearly.

Something I have available in my 3D portfolio............

You can get tanktainers from c-rail in kit form.

Arran also does the transfers as well.

Indeed my tanktainer is a crail product. I think both the other two are the BHE etches. They look really good. C Rail does transfers which are high quality transfers - way better than some I could mention.

@NTrain Bob, that looks fantastic but I cant find it any of your on-line shops, shapeways, ebay or your website. Id be interested in that, it looks the business.

It was something I did for someone and didn'get round to adding for general sale. Will polish it off and get up on Shapeways and look at including as a stock item later.

I may do a minor update.

Brilliant Bob, thats really great news.
I would have thought that in the 3D world its fairly straight forward to add a variety of versions? (I could be talking out my backside here tho) For instance, would it be possible to offer that same tank but with a complete frame around it. I would buy both versions, or more if you can do them easily. The reason I ask is that BulkHaul containers appear to be almost singularly unique, in that not one is the same as the next.
Have a look at this and youll see what I mean https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=bulkhaul+tank+containers&safe=active&client=firefox-b&dcr=0&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiBx7SLtu3XAhWlB8AKHffhARYQ_AUICygC&biw=1536&bih=732

Ron

Just to clarify, I did send C-Rail an email but no response as yet, I would need to buy a kit AND a transfer sheet?

Yes.

Not offering both together allows flexibility with other manufacturers kits or by making your own transfers, as shown elsewhere in this thread.

Caution is advised as Arran sells tanktainer transfers for 1/148 OR 1/160.  Sheet number 9 is the N gauge one.

However each sheet of transfers provides enough logos for up to 10 tanktainers.  If you're only going to make one or two it might be worthwhile asking if anyone has any spares.

Thanks for the "heads up"  Buzzard.
I may order some kits to pick up when I am over in England.

The sheet No.5 has BulkHaul tanktainers and bulktainers (30ft) included.  Its described as N gauge and presumably is 1/148, having said that, I would never have guessed if is a few percent too small.
