Does anyone know if anybody does an N gauge car transporter wagon.

The reason I ask is my son sent me quite a large collection of (almost) n gauge cars, and I would like to use them on a rake of several transporter wagons.

I know NGS do a kit (Kit No.17), but I am not very good at kit building, especially when it says "it is complicated to build" in the advert for it.

You can get them in 00 gauge, but haven't seen any in n gauge.

Don't tale my word for this, I know NGS do 1:148 scale kit builds that are for the more experienced modeller.

But I think one of the European makers (Fleishman possibly) does car wagons which are European build that are also used on the WCML, don't take it a gospel but IIRC I think I spotted them a few months back! Issue been they are not British 1:148 they are 1:160
Mechanical issues can be solved with a hammer and electrical problems can be solved with a screw driver. Beyond that it's verbal abuse which makes trains work!!

I'm not aware of the Fleischmann ones.....interesting Acko......but various foreign types are available new or second hand; Kato, Lima, Minitrix, Ibertren...

Here is a rake of Ibertren carriers that I resprayed to "represent" UK types; not too hard a job, although out of gauge, even allowing for the 148/160 difference....

Thanks for the replies.

I like the look of the Ibertren one (never heard of Indertren before), and there is a link to KJB when you type Ibertren in the search field - but they are out of stock.

The price KJB were asking is about half the price of the Fleischman ones that Gaugemaster advertise.

Have emailed Katie at KJB asking if she is getting any more, otherwise do you know anyone else selling them?

Hi Tdm afraid I don't - I got mine used from ebay!  A bit of a bargain but they were old and well used!

Cheers Jon :)

Fleischmann definitely do them in N - I have about 6 or 7 of them. They pop on eBay every couple of weeks or so - malcrosby7 is a seller that has them quite frequently. I paid between £10 and £20 each for them over the course of several months as they came up.

I have sent an email to the seller you mention asking when he will next have any.
I tried to give you a "thank you", but for some reason the "thank you" box does not appear on your particular post - but it does on other peoples!?

railsquid

Looks like your "thank you" got through anyway.

Via this post from georgiehgv I see Scograil has some Fleischmann car transporters on offer, though maybe not the type you're looking for.

I checked the Scograil site but couldn't find any car transporter wagons for sale in N gauge -
where did you se them? under which category - have tried wagons without success.
