I have frequently requested help in finding products from forum members, always receiving excellent advice, but is there a directory available showing products and firms making/selling them?
My latest request is for rail built buffer stops and who makes them, but it would be nice if this could be found without bothering other modellers for their help.

The Peco model is popular and easily available.

Would be a massive job to build and maintain such a database. Consider how many small enterprises appear and then after a relatively short life disappear again, i.e.: Modelux (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=44504).
I wouldn't want to do it.
As mentioned, pretty much impossible to build up and maintain such a database. Some of the large box-shifter suppliers have comprehensive online shops to search and browse, but they probably won't have the small artisan makers etc.
So this is where asking on here is great, not only will someone know the item(s) exist but often can offer their personal experience or suggest alternatives.
So for rail-built buffer stops, you don't say if you specifically want British, European or what? Peco are the obvious candidate as already mentioned, but off the top of my head also consider Fleischmann (the ex-Roco buffer stops are nice) plus of course brands like Minitrix sell a buffer-stop attached to a section of track. I'm pretty sure there are some very fine etched ones available from artisan makers.

2mm Scale Association do all manner of rail built ones, with different designs by region if you're so inclined.

Thanks for the links to suppliers of buffer stops.
I asked if there was a complete reference site to save involving other members time responding to my requests, not to suggest someone building a site which I know would be a tremendous task.
