Just the one when I was there, which was about 4 PM on Saturday. Can't speak for those others who got their while visiting. Perhaps they wheel out singleton locos for display as/when?

i bought mine about three on Saturday. There were three in stock so after mine and Nemos purchase there's potentially one left in stock.

This rolls quite nicely, but somehow I don't think it really counts here

It will however help me shift a load of drawers and boxes full of modelling bits when I move house over the next couple of weeks.

I've been rather taken by the Graham Farish Ivatt 2-6-0 for a while now and finally succumbed to temptation.  It is such a neat little model, the motor must be tiny to fit in the model.

I also picked up the latest Graham Farish weathered maroon BR Mk1 coach; an Eastern Region BCK.

Not the best photo but my local model shop had a second hand BR Suburban Mk1 in Crimson, which I thought looked very smart.

That Ivatt  mogul does look good.
Not at all my area but I agree a tempting model.
I'll get round to fixing it drekkly me 'ansome.

Good idea, Mike!

Bought 2 for a very similar exercise last year. Saved a lot of box lugging.

not exactly a purchase, but a late birthday present from my daughter.[smg id=22992 type=preview align=center caption="001"]
a second kitchen pullman, 2 x 24t hoppers and a pantechnicon.
I must confess to a twinge of jealousy when I see people purchasing vast amounts of stock!

Lovely Pullman! I also spy a nice train on the lower level  ;)

As to large purchases, all is not what it seems! Two things to consider:

- Many of those who post larger purchases seem to be living outside of the UK, and so probably order in bulk to save a huge amount on postage costs. A single wagon isn't worth ordering if you're have to pay the same price again just in postage! Much better to wait a couple of months until you can justify (and afford) to order 20 items together and pay £15 to £20 for postage as one parcel, rather than order them separately and pay £5-£7 postage x 20 - ouch!

- I find receiving, opening and checking "bulk" orders for any defects on arrival can actually become a bit of a chore! You certainly don't get the same pleasure out of it as you do from unboxing two wagons (especially purchased by a loved one) and sticking them straight on the track to be shunted off by the nearest locomotive.

Just my 2p (+£5 postage)

I agree, although the postage Hattons charge is quite reasonable for those living on the other side of the Channel.

The silver bullets that pass my house are not quite as pristine shall we say!

Enjoy.

Will probably weather them down a bit if only to save the need to wear sun glasses as they pass  :o

Like these a lot (the silver bullets look almost black in your picture) unfortunately far too modern for my modelling era unless I attempt a Reading based layout.......
