Gone to my sent tab to find it empty, with no record of the message.

Did you tick the box "Save a copy in my out box" ?

Yes the box was ticked at the bottom.

Unless its because im using the wifes tablet thingy to veiw the forum.

Have you checked from your computer/ laptop or whatever you normally use?
