Title: iPad not auto filling Passwords
Post by: REGP on May 12, 2018, 02:09:56 PM
Why since the 11.3* Update for my iPad Air does my pad refuse to autofill usernames and passwords as it used to? (*it  was a very long update which I think was 11.3 but could have been a slightly earlier update.)

I have worked my way through Accounts and Passwords saved in settings and eliminated any duplicate.

Safari Autofill is on, but steadfastly refuses to enter the details for me.

The info is there and if I enter a wrong password it asks if I want to save the new one.

Has anyone else had similar problems or know of another setting I can change?

On mine, once I position the cursor in the log-in field, the password options appear at the top of the on-screen keyboard. I select the one I want and it then auto-fills.

@tutenkhamunsleeping (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=1490)

Thanks Steve, that's solved the problem.

I've never noticed that before   :dunce: but I must admit I had given up hope of  the pad auto filling and had resorted to keying in the details some time ago.

I wonder if it's been there ever since the update or is it a more recent addition?

Thanks again

Ray

I only noticed it after the update when logging into a little used site.
