Thanks Mike,

It's all a bit of a nightmare that I'm going to have to get back into very slowly to save myself much confusion...I used to know my way around 25 years ago but I'm fast discovering that it is not like getting back on a bike! I guess the brain starts to find things a little more difficult once you're past a certain age.... :worried:

Hi

This gives a reasonable indication of the difference between N and 2mm wheels.

I've been watching 2mm locomotives for a while (I think for at lease a year).  The website hasn't changed in that time, with almost all the models I'm interested in being listed as 'available TBC'. Unfortunately it doesn't seem as though these are coming anytime soon.

Thanks Paul. That's a very convincing argument in favour of 2FS, I'm almost tempted on the strength of that alone! If it wasn't for the fact that I've just spent over £800 on track and have over 15 steam engines I'd be thinking again after seeing that..

I sent an email to the address on the website enquiring about the 43xx and received an email back from Damien Johnson saying that the 43xx kit had not yet been developed but that I was the 3rd person to ask about it. Consequently he has moved it up the production schedule to third place behind another couple of Midland locos. Agreed to sort out the finer details early next year when it should be top of the list.

I'm pleased that I got a response, Damien is obviously gradually working through the list of locos which is fair enough and it does seem to suggest that if you want something then you should enquire and that will get it moved up the production/design list.

The website's diary shows that Two MM will be at the Warley show on 23-24 November. Who will accept the mission to hunt them down and inspect their wares?  ;)
