Not that it is any consolation but I've been having similar difficulties with Paypal's complaints on a different subject. I suspect that the volume of transactions they are dealing with in the lockdown situation is far in excess of what they can cope with.

I submitted very clear evidence on a complaint and got nowhere so I now have the choice of FOS and/or my card company - such a waste of time for what should have been a fairly open/shut case (non-delivery of items).

you could try

Mr. Timothy Minall (e-mail: CRC@paypal.com).

that is the direct contact CSSF gave me  :)

Mrs Skyline is furious and I can't say I blame her.

She has just managed to get Mini Skyline down for a nap and what is going on outside his window? A garden party with multiple screening children. It would seem they have taken a leaf out of some other peoples books (or understanding of the lockdown rules) and started lifting them early.

e-mail to Paypal sent 13:18
reply sent at 13:47, though only just received at 15:30 when AOL came back on line.

so they CAN act quickly, when it suits them.

mind you, the reply wants me to confirm my e-mail account, which is the one on my account and they one they sent their reply to, and I sent my original from  :hmmm:

sounds like delaying tactics yet again.

but CSSF requirements now complied with

since my last update I have been trying to get an e-mail response, or a phone call from, Paypal, but all I get is stupid e-mails to ask me to contact them from my e-mail address as registered to my account.

I ONLY HAVE ONE E-MAIL ADDRESS  :veryangry:

it now seems as though AOL have for some reason changed my @aol.com e-mail address to @aol.co.uk.

don't ask me why or when. I only noticed the change when I happened to re-read my initial e-mail of formal complaint to Timothy Minall, who of course has not acknowledged it.

the annoying thing is that Paypal have been sending their e-mails to my @aol.com address, which was the only one on my account.

I have now added my @aol.co.uk e-mail address and wait to see what happens now. :'(

slainte  :beers:

considering the initial formal complaint was e-mailed on 27th May, not exactly a 'prompt' response, but at least a response, and not from a computer [I think  :hmmm:]

think I may reply reminding them that the original e-mail was dated 27th May, not 3rd June  :veryangry:

Alan. An acknowledgement. Bit like the old br. Slow

Aha. So it's gone from the 'Executive Evasion Specialists' and on to the 'Executive Escalations Specialists'. 20 years ago that sort of  :poop: would have been unheard of. ::)
Sounds like they might, just might, set their 'Fast Action Response Team' onto it

guest311

I'll await the e-mail telling me it's been passed to the "Fast Action Response Specialists " :smiley-laughing:

amazingly, not one mention about Covid-19 in any of the e-mails, it's about all you get if you try to phone them  :veryangry:

by the way, I was very glad to see you managed to get your donation sorted, what sort of company sends a message like "oh, here's a few quid donated by some people, who we can't actually be arsed to list"  :censored:

These days everybody and their dog are some kind of 'Excusative'.
Example - I'm a Media Executive
What does that entail?
Well, I switch the radio on and off

I get so angry I could throw the phone down :veryangry:

Good job it was not passed to the Fast Action Response Team!
David.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.
If a friend seems distant, catch up with them.

All these initials have reminded me. My wife used to work at North Manchester General Hospital, as a Community Psychiatric Nurse. The team she worked for was the Community Link Team. There was also an Early Intervention Team. No joke, they merged the two and named it the Community Link Intervention Team! That lasted less than a week before it was hastily renamed.

Speaking of renaming I believe this shop in Manchester changed their signage soon after this picture was taken:

In April 2024 I will be raising money for Cancer Research UK by doing at least 100 press-ups every day.  Feel free to click on the picture to go to the donations page if you would like to help me to reach my target.
