Just read through "British Steam engines" - sub titled "the ultimate guide to the greatest steam engines" many glaring errors e.g GWR Castle class 4-6-2 !!! The same information rehashed/repeated a number of times in different chapters, Only saving grace from my point of view is the photos and diagrams are OK,although even with those the same locos feature a number of times.
From my point of view a bit too much relating to GWR, the LMS & LNER get reasonable coverage but very little SR. Tornado gets more than its fair share of text and pictures.
Mike - can I suggest you actually put a review in the 'Book Review' section please?
