N Gauge Discussion / Re: Minimal wish-listingLast post by Skyline2uk - Today at 11:03:20 PMWith latest Revolution announcement a big item is crossed off in the form of WIAs (never essential, just cool).
But I will play: Loco: Class 455 Coach: Pass, unless you count re-releases of TSOs to make them more common. Wagon: PHY/JYA Yeomans (purely to add variety and make more prototypical rakes for the 59s). Bonus Re-livery: Swallow Class 47/8 (come on Farish this shouldn't be a big ask!) Skyline2uk #3
General Discussion / Re: Unhappy ThreadLast post by njee20 - Today at 10:47:41 PMI managed to get made redundant five times before I was 33. Two jobs I got made redundant from before I even started, which must be a record.
It's cliched but it's always worked out for the better for me, a couple of big pivots in industry, but the opportunities have always worked out for the better. I actually weighed up whether to take redundancy again a couple of weeks ago, the job market is good at the moment, it's a tempting proposition! Sure you'll find something befitting. #4

General Discussion / Re: what are you listening to ...Last post by Moonglum - Today at 09:22:51 PMVery competently played Martin @port perran but not as much fun as Solstice! Nevertheless, they are a popular band. BTW, the violinist is Claire Lindley who spent some time with Stackridge.
I am very pleased to now have tickets to see Solstice at Milton Keynes in September. Cheers, Tim #6

General Discussion / Re: what are you listening to ...Last post by port perran - Today at 07:14:19 PMMoving on from Solstice, here is another promising new wave prog rock band that I've stumbled upon.
This is Apollo by Big Big Train : https://youtu.be/u7i3sGCv5hc?si=_RVCytkRnVq3EY-d A big sound with seven, I think, in the band plus a brass section. Again, as in Solstice, the fiddle brings an added dimension. I feel that this track loses its way on occasions but on the whole it is promising. Cheers Martin #9

General Discussion / Re: Unhappy ThreadLast post by Malc - Today at 05:07:30 PMI had to apply for my own job 3 times. Third time unlucky, so I took the money and ran. Went contracting- the best thing I ever did. No more company politics to deal with. Do the job and move on.
