Got a Class 66 with MALCOLM logistics livery. She bought it 'cause it has my name on it. Looking forward to pulling my Tomix cleaner (an advance birthday present).
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

I got a nuclear flask wagon, a blue/grey class 101 DMU 3-car unit..

I got a Farish newspaper express set and a Dapol CCT to go with it.  Very pleased!

A great addition to the set - I added another GUV to mine to bring it up to this:

I got a CCT and a blue spot van for my 30th birthday last week, I then got another CCT and blue spot van today for Christmas! Added into my rake, we now have a parcels train which looks like this:

[smg id=9013]

I also got a railway book about the Paignton & Dartmouth railway, a railway poster calendar (for the birthday) and an NEM pocket conversion kit so I'll try to document the process to put a guide up here.

silly moo

I was lucky enough to get a railway calendar, a railway book and a Farish Tornado. The Tornado is a birthday present as well and is thousands of miles away in Luton awaiting delivery to me by my daughter in a few weeks time.

Well courtesy of mk1gtstu, SWMBO bought me his detailed and weathered 47 that was for sale on here. She also bought me a fabulous book called 'Britains Scenic Railways' and the box set of British Transport films on dvd.

I also got enough reading material to last me a while including Tom Clancy's last book 'Command Authority'.

Merry Xmas to all.

Regards

Neal.

Hope everyone has had/is having a good Christmas.

I got one thing modelling related and it's something I didn't even really think about until I opened it and now I wonder how I managed before.
A nice card stock box with 5 foam tray inserts. Lots of room and saves a lot of space by not having to have individual boxes about.

Tom.

I would love to know where you got that from!

I got no new models :(

Nothing new until new year i think :(

But even then its a southern theme! Merchant navy and bullieds!

At Xmas I normally get money rather than material things from my mum, I'll decide in due course what to spend it on ...

60006, what you've received is an excellent investment for the future - decent storage for your stock.

I believe the company is called Avocations. I think they have their own website as well as an eBay shop.

The real treat with regard to this topic is to be had tomorrow since virtually all the shops re-open on Boxing Day.

And the treat ?    Refunds !!!

The greatest riches are to be had in the Take Back Queue at Marks and Spencer.

There you can find yourself behind hatchet faced women who offer each other a closely guarded peak into a barely opened crack in the top of a bag whilst intoning "Honestly!! What do you think of this?  Would you wear these?  What sort of a woman does he think I am !! ?"

Early: A set of green Bulleids (2x BSK(SO), SK, CK, SO) and a Dapol CCT in their version of BR(SR) Green (see pictures elsewhere) :)

On the day: 'The Best of Dave Allen' and 'Complete Blackadder Remastered' DVDs from my daughter, a nice thick woolly jumper (from the wife - she obviously appreciates how cold it may get in the garage where the layout is...)

Unexpected: My son turned up with a couple more Bulleids (BTK(SO), CK) in Blood and Custard (pictures to come...)
