Another one of my heroes has sadly passed away. Saw Coloseum a couple of times.

Another very sad loss.
I saw them once. I was always impressed by the sax playing of Dick Heckstall-Smith (spelling maybe a bit out).

If my memory isn't at fault he was also the drummer on the original Marti Webb recording of "Tell me on a Sunday".

Dick Heckstall-Smith was around the Jazz scene in the 1950's and was in Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated

He played with John Mayall on the Bare Wires album, the first LP I ever bought. Saw the Bluesbreakers in early 68 with him on drums
