What is the difference between loco hauled and HST?

I know with the Intercity ones the HST has "Intercity 125" on the side and the loco hauled has just "Intercity".

Can not really see any differences for the Virgin ones though.

You will find some Dapol Mk3 Executive coaches that have Intercity 125 on the side that also have buffers too. Basically Dapol made a rather embarrassing boob with that one because loco hauled Mk3 coaches wouldn't have travelled at 125 mph behind a Class 47. Top speed for a Class 47 is listed as 95 mph.

Most of the box shifter have been trying to sell them off a bit cheaper. You could always remove the "125" carefully with some T-Cut or something similar.

The main difference on the real thing is that the loco hauled stock has buffers and very different roof vents.
