I got the TPE 68 last week from the Bure Valley Railway shop for a very good price. Beautiful loco, and now 68014 (my other one) has some company :)
If it moves and shouldn't, duct tape. It it doesn't move and should, WD40...

My eldest is particularly taken with 68014 as it hauled us back from TINGS last year, after he had driven the model on one of the layouts.

I have been very naughty and bought this on e-bay. Minitrix 9F Evening Star. Runs well. My first attempt at "make an offer" and worked out well!

Just received this used item from Hattons along with 4 DJM Dutch-livery Mermaids which will be repainted. I was hoping that Farish would re-introduce the Crab to their range but doesn't seem to feature in their plans at present.

I, too, would like to see a re-tooled version

Paddy

The later Farish model with the blackened running gear (like yours) was a huge improvement.

These came in the mail today:

Won them off ebay last week, paid $120 (about 96 pounds) for the lot. There was another lot I tried to win but didn't get.

Picked up a Green MK2A FK from Morris Models in Lancing recently.

Initially a poor runner over points, but after reading similar issues in the Coaches area of the forum and re-seating the wheels, it's on par with all the Mk1s its set to replace.

Nice, and I've learnt something new - I never knew Mk2s wore Southern colours. :beers:

Yes, the initial sets of 1964 Mk2 (no suffix, later Mk2z under TOPS) FKs wore SR Green and BR Maroon (for the LM region). All other 1966 onwards Mk2s were outshopped in Blue/Grey.

The Farish model is wrong as it has the Mk2a/b single-pane window ventilator, not the Mk1-style double-pane ventilators that should be in the Mk2.

Went to two hobby shops in Indiana today. One was open, one was not. The owner of the one that was closed at least let me look inside and talk for about 15 minutes. I got misinformation from Google Maps that said it was open Wednesdays. Second shop is where I made these purchases.

Have to say the Terrier looks lovely in that livery :heart2:
Maybe I should have gone for that rather than a plain black one
