Get a real dog if you are going to have dogs!

I currently have two Irish Wolfhounds and two Scottish Deerhounds.

No problems if the can have a sofa each.

Humans often have to fight for space!

Is this real enough for you...?

Questo, our Italian Spinone, 1995-2010.

I'd love a Wolfie, but in a tiny terraced house with garden to match, it just ain't practical!

Cheers,

Chris

Here is our latest addition - Bella, a 7-month old Staffie cross. Someone once described having a young Staff as living with a tiny hurricane...made of bricks. Never a truer word spoken. Despite her rugged appearance, she is an absolute softy.

It is a popular name and has already caused some confusion. We never had this trouble with our last Staffie, Grappa  :D

For almost a century, the French registry for dogs (SOCIÉTÉ CENTRALE CANINE?) has followed a system for naming that makes it easy to determine the age of a dog by its registered name. The first name begins with the designated letter for the year, followed by the kennel name (some kennel names may proceed the letter but in France, it is almost always a suffix). Over the years, the letters K, Q, W, X, Y and Z were eliminated because it was difficult to find French names beginning with them. Every 20 years the alphabet starts over. This year it is V.

Our dog is officially Laika as named by the breeder, but we call him Maugan and so does our vet though his papers say Laika.

Trainfish

According to me, Bertie (orange) and Bobby (grey) will be 1 year old on Thursday. Mrs Trainfish reckons they're already a year old and I've got my dates wrong. Either way as far as I'm concerned they will turn into cats rather than kittens. Some people seem to call them kittens until they grow to 3 feet tall but not me. So, happy birthday to Bobby (grey) and Bertie (orange) this week and here they are relaxing last weekend:

Note, they are a lot bigger than they look in that picture and Bertie (orange) doesn't always look half asleep. He usually looks fully asleep unless he's climbing the curtains.

Foxhound

Tilly, Princess of Dots. 13 and a half, arthritic hips and slightly doo-lally, but otherwise she's gorgeous. Uploaded pic from Phone and still it's not straight. Grrr

Rob and Becky (artistic director)

May as well add my pair of evil ones.  Mum (the Torby) and Daughter Katsu and Mochi, doing what they do after you've shouted at them to get off the kitchen table.

They are the most badly behaved, deliberately obtuse and downright mischevious pair of good for nothing cats we have ever been owned by, but for all that they are also the most loving (got to keep the future hooman meat happy) and I  think they are both totally awesome

ShakyZZR

Stoopid dog has the full settee to lay on but because the arm is slightly higher, she can see out of the window better   :smiley-laughing:

Not particularly ladylike, but probably comfortable :D

Our weekly food bill is about to go through the roof

Our two tortoises woke up on Monday after their three month sleep and are straight into replenishing their body fat store ready for next Winter.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.
