Ian, I'm assuming that this image is a screen-grab of what you see. Could you post a link to the original gallery image? Thus we could compare with what we see.

Great story!

Quote from: Cols on December 03, 2024, 06:27:20 PMAll my section switches are concentrated in a single "box" which started life as the bomb-selection switch panel installed in the RAF's Memorial Flight's Avro Lancaster (PA474) - it was replaced by one in a rather better cosmetic condition and somehow the original came into my hands... The switches have a lovely positive "clunk" to them!

Would love to see a picture of that!

I've got a few ex-RAF bits and bobs (randomly aquired in a bric-a-brac auction), they have some really cool switches and knobs and dials, which I'd love to repurpose to use on a model railway!

I've even got a real locomotive fuel gauge in a box too (from a Ruston I believe), which requires a really weird set of analogue signals to make it work...

That's good. Moving into a new house in bare ground in 1981 (the road ended at the house - it is now a major traffic route), I planted trees like mad.

Aussie trees grow like weeds (sorry, but they just do) and since 1981, I have had over 10 trees removed.

If they are an Australian native, these days you can just about forget it. Tree loppers won't touch it unless you have all the necessary certification.

Never mind the fact that it'll fall on your house with the next puff of wind. :veryangry:

...and removing a big tree requires an even bigger crane.

All gone now.

I've made a start. What do you think? Can it be improved in any way? Feel free to download it and put it on the noticeboard in the kitchen. Or the hall. Or even the bedroom............

My mum used to get me a Pirelli calendar every year when I was a teenager. She did work here though and got them for nothing  :D

Anyway, back to my idea............................
