Government alert for Storm Darragh

Who else received the alert on their phone?

I was in the railway room listening to music via my phone on a speaker at quite high volume.

The alert made mr jump out of my skin!

I model German railways and that didn't stop me getting an orange CEGB one as it fits in pretty well with my other Seehafen Kiel locos :)

Although this isn't my "thing", I'm going to raise my head above the parapet and dare to suggest that Headstone, joins the N-Gauge Society - he'll then be able to purchase their r-t-r Hunslet 0-6-0 diesel shunter (in a large variety of liveries) which, in some of the variants available, even has a flashing amber light on the cab roof (a very subtle light - not a blinding beacon) I've seen it performing without hesitation over dirty track and dead-frog point-work because it's fitted with "stay alive" circuitry. It's slow-speed capability is astonishing. No, I didn't buy one, simply because it is out of my modelling time-frame!
   Hope that this may help.

A quick google search shows others have had similar issues over the years.  The usual recommendations of clearing browser cache, maybe turning off hardware graphics acceleration in Chrome, maybe some sort of flag setting "use-angle" related to which graphic engine chrome uses

"Order book will open late Nov/early Dec 2024"

Erm, it is early December and having checked the Revolution website, the order books are yet to open. For those who have waited so patiently, hopefully it is imminent.

Thanks Mark.

Tested, it's the iPad at fault !

Before youtube became restricted here I listened to classics using Audio Technicha M40x headphones and though not as good as cd's it sounded ok. Now comparing the Sony headphones to the M40x's both are really good with the better dynamic range being for the Sony CH720. For a 73 year old another test says I have "good" hearing. I'm just glad I can enjoy classical and pop music still !

@BobB  Depends what age you are.

Youtube and BT are not the best for quality but should go beyond 10kHz.

The spec sheet on the Sony cans has this -
Frequency response:
7 Hz - 20 000 Hz (JEITA) (when connecting
via the headphone cable with the unit
turned on)

My  headphones and speakers reproduce much more than I can hear now and even as a young bloke I couldn't hear some things that others could (like TV sync signals 15.625kHz, I think)

Get the 1kHz and 10kHz files from here or somewhere else and play both on your ipad.
