I always think it is interesting to compare the same prototypes made by different manufacturers and even more so when looking at old kit-built examples and later RTR models.

I have a few examples "seeing double" in my collection that fall into this category:

1. Minitrix LNER Class A3 and A4 models compared to Graham Farish and Dapol versions

2. Langley LNER Class B1 kit and the Graham Faish B1.

3. NuCast LNER Class J27 kit and the Union Mills J27.

4. Parkwood Class 17 Clayton resin print and the EFE Clayton

5. Heritage N Prototype Deltic resin print and the Graham Farish version

There are several more examples but I will stop there.

Talking of duplication, I recall one NGF member who had about thirty Western Class 52 hydraulics (out of a class of 74 locos).  Apologies for not remembering the Forum member's name (will the guilty party please identify themselves?)

This made me think.  While it may be a task too far to own a model of every Class 52, I wondered if anyone had a complete collection of a more modest class of locos (in terms of numbers)?

For example, does anyone have a collection of all twenty-two Deltics?

Inquiring minds want to know!

There was a 00 layout (can't remember the name now...) that between the operators could muster all 23 'Deltics' including the prototype plus their cousin 'DP2'...

I notice Di's thread tailed off - I wonder if there's a fleet update? She pops up on FB Hydraulic pages quite a bit.
