Farish class 20 in weathered BR green is on the way from eHattons
:D
Received today and runs fine out of the box. It is quite a bit noisier than the class 47 I received recently but not really a problem.

I notice that eHattons have already run out of these and they are back on pre-order status. Must be a popular loco!
:beers:
Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!

Just a few bits and pieces then. What's it like when you have a shopping spree? And can I come?!

I'm just glad it's nowhere near as noisy as the older model which appeared to echo through the body.

Are you gonna run yours in without oiling? Was wondering if a drop of oil would quieten it down?

Unless stated so by Farish I don't lubricate their locos until they've had a few hours under their belts, Bob. Any steamers I tend to place the smallest drop of oil on the motion just to help things along.

ANy ideas how to fit/fix the stainless steel brake discs??

You need to remove the wheelsets from the coach bogies to fit the discs. There are none for fitting to the locos unfortunately.

Cheers,
Alan

I've never bothered fitting mine, I find the wheelsets look fine as they are and the brake discs look too new compared to what you see in everyday service. That and I'd have 136 Mk3 wheelsets to get through...

I've managed to do one coach out of 63 so far.. and found they look good but you can hardly see them!

Tiny blob of glue on the wheel face and then push the disc down on it. You get 2 spare discs with every coach..
