Had  knee replaced at 11 am at Friarage Hospital Northallerton and can't get to sleep. Not a lot of pain but enough to keep me awake. Stood up to get dressed, then again to get Pyjamas on. Physio in morning, hope it goes ok.
I'm waiting to get so tired I'll drop to sleep. Just can't get leg in best position zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hi Bob,

Sorry to hear of your pain. Been there many a time. Red wine seems to do it for me but if you want you could ring my wife and ask how her day went at work. You'll be out like a light  :D.

Good luck with the physio (think of the nurses  ;)).

Cheers weave  :beers:

Good luck with that one, mate. I fully sympathise. I had ankle surgery in January and I'm still in a boot on crutches!

Take it easy.

Exercise is the best for inducing sleep.
Why don't you take a brisk 5km walk; try somewhere with a few hills.
To be called pompous and arrogant - hell of a come down.
I tried so hard to be snobbish and haughty.

Bit cruel especially with no smiley face or wink.

Just had liquid morphine. Still no sleep. Talking to John in next bed earlier, his wound started weeping after physio a couple of days ago, should have been home by now.
From the sound of Alan in the bed on the other side he's sound, lie, he's just woken up. It seems if you do get to sleep it's only for short periods. Too late now, just lie here reading posts.

Agreed. If a new knee is anything like a new hip then it requires bedding in and I think 5km goes beyond that by far.
