Yeah DD does work wonders... as a cure for constipation. That's about all it was good for.

We get Christmas twice over in Tenerife, because there are so many Brits here Xmas is celebrated on the 25th of December, but the locals prefer to celebrate on the 6th of January (3 Kings Day).

Only get one batch of presents though (on the 25th of December), and it is our Wedding Anniversary on the 5th of January - which is Xmas Eve for Canarians.
Celebrations normally seem to last forever, but this year off on a cruise on the 30th of December (from Tenerife to the Caribbean) so will be letting the New Year in on board ship, which is a first.

Son & Daughter are both well aware that I am building a model railway here, so I think I know what kind of presents to expect from them, will just have to drop some hints about what I would like. It's my birthday just before Xmas, and my son's on Xmas day itself, so it's always a special part of the year in our family, as we also have other family members with birthdays in December.

Maybe (but I doubt it) Farish will release their new Duchess model set in January (which I have on pre-order), and it would be nice to return from our cruise and find a package from Hattons waiting for me on our return containing that said set.
Still waiting for the the new weathered green Deltic CL37 which was supposedly available June/July.

Still a bit early for seasons greetings, but I have a feeling that Xmas time will be upon us all before we know it.

And if you think Macsweens haggis is the best Paul, then you need to get out more, there are some fantastic artisan butchers who still hand make haggis and they leave Macsweens for dust.

I don't doubt they are probably miles better, and more authentic too, not much good in Hertfordshire though unless they do mail order :D

...and there he was, a boy no more,
Just a stomach, on the floor.
Nonetheless, since it was his,
They ate it - that's what haggis is.
