It says 'click here for details' so I did, but there's nothing there - only 'error has occurred'
same here.

Also about the photo competition. I clicked on the links to look at the gallery and there were four photos but when I clicked on them for a slide show the text at the bottom of the photo window describing the photo and the camera, etc. was (on my browser at least) a very light shade of grey and I didn't realise there was even text there at first. Can you change it so the text is black, or is it a problem my end?

Pengi

It is a light shade of grey when I look at it too

Sadly it's incorporated into the software like that, so the coding will need to be changed.  Hopefully this will be done in the next couple of days.

The text on the photographs is now clearly visible instead of the very light grey, an excellent improvement.

Thank you - John.

Whoa! Major improvement! When I first joined, it took me quite a while to work out how to post pictures, and a major reason was I did not see the 'details' text under the photos at first. Great work. I guess it's just a little thing, but a huge improvement, for sure. Thank you!

Can I enquire what happened to this thread - there seems to be othing posted for the last two months?  In fact, a number of threads seem to have suddenly died unexpectedly, with no posts for some time.  Is it a case of the thread is full up and it can't take any more or have these subjects just died for lack of interest?

We are always interested in feedback about the forum and all of the suggestions are considered with many being actionned.  So the thread is most definitely open

Ok, Thanks Tank.

My own tupennce halfpenny-worth, and worth exactly half what you paid for it.

I get a message (email) saying there has been a new posting on a thread I'm watching - but not just one email but (I think) one for each post and I don't know which is the latest.  I'd find it just as good to get one email per thread only until I go and look at the message(s).  Which ties into my second thought.

I understand what was being said about mesages disappearing even if not read.  Sounds to me like it needs a switch to show the message has been read - then it can disappear off the list.  I don't know how this is switched or whether it can be deliberate.  Up to you guys who programme it.

Know where you're coming from, there, John - I spend a lot of time deleting emails which are duplicated regularly. However, on the other hand, me being me, I think that if I only got one per thread, I'd probably forget to keep checking that thread. At least the constant emails arriving remind me to take a look.

It's a hard one.... be interesting to hear what the team think.

You should only get one email per thread to show that someone has replied.  It will only send you more if you've looked at that thread and then someone replies again.

This can be changed in your Profile, by looking for Notifications on the left panel.  It's customisable for each user.
