Special rates for AOP's and those on benifits.
Promt and freindly service.

There's a professionally signwritten van near me that is owned by a builder who apparently does "extentions". I wonder if that's the same as building an extension but involves more "t"-drinking?  ;D

Greengrocers' delight.....apple's. Pear's etc.  I lost count of how many examples I have seen. You would think that the companies who do the sign work would have some idea where to shove it.

Saw this in East London today and thought of you  ;)

Official council sign as well !!  :smiley-laughing:

Professional sign-writers seem to charge extra for checking than for just putting on what was specified.  I guess they get a lot of good repeat business form cheapskates 8)

Someone at work put a notice on the reminders board that the M.D. had to go to the optitions.
Perhaps they couldn't spell Specsavours ;D

A couple of years a long serving volunteer left the organisation I now work for, and her department decided to get her and engraved paperweight as part of her leaving gifts.

The shop was handed a printed copy of the wording required, accurate in all aspects. The first attempt had a spelling error (they miss spelt her name), the second went back because 'colleagues' was wrong. They then managed to add the 'grocer's apostrophe' to the third version ('you're' instead of 'your')!

The fourth (or as they might have put it 'forth') version was finally correct but as they had ruined three paperweights I doubt they had much profit out of the job!!!

(Double checked this post for speeling errors ;D)

I remember an aged aunt of mine who not so long ago worked in a large office and had to teach a school leaver the alphabet so that she could file the letters and invoices into the correct drawers.

You missed one I'm afraid, it's misspelt (or less commonly used mis-spelt) not miss spelt  :D

I'm sure we had a school teacher called Miss Spelt though.....................

Hi

Personally I would disagree, it should be the word two not the numerical 2. Having said that though my English skills are as good as they should be.
